This small parcel of premium fruit was selected from a low yielding section of the vineyard on the Malone property Talinga, held in the family since 1930.
The gently sloping vineyard is located in the emerging region of Wrattonbully in the South East of South Australia.
The grapes were fermented and hand plunged in small open slate fermenters then matured in French oak barrels for 24 months.
The 2017 vintage features subtle blackberry characters with a hint of violets. The elegant full fruit flavours and long fine grained tannins are well balanced with oak. This Cabernet Sauvignon will drink well now or further develop over the next 5-10 years.
